Lakes Entrance
Town jetties and along the rock wall for luderick, the footbridge is having a nice variety also. Surf beaches for salmon, tailor, the odd gummy and flathead. Offshore pinkies, flathead and gummies are active.
Lake Tyers
Around the banks and up to the islands for bream around the 40cm mark, there is also the odd 60cm flathead taking soft plastics. Perch can be found near The Snag’s.
Mitchell River
Fishing is a bit slow, but some perch are active near the Highway Bridge and backwaters. Try Eagle Point, The Bluff and the Grassy Banks for bream on soft shell, spider crab and soft plastics.
Tambo River
The Log Hole, The Cliffs and heading down to the Lucerne Paddock are good spots for bream, perch are also about, try Punthouse Point, Marshalls Flat, the river mouth, Salt Creek and The Snags.
Nicholson
The Strait Six, The Cliffs, the Car Bodies, down to the two bridges then heading on down to the river mouth for bream, estuary perch and luderick.
Metung
Bancroft Bay has bream, perch and flathead also give Boole Boole Peninsula, Chinamans Creek, Box’s Creek and Nungurner Jetty a try.
Paynesville
Bream are around Tambo Bay and the river mouth. Lake King and Lake Victoria has tailor chasing metal lures.
Holland's Landing
Best spots for bream are Bull Point heading into Jones Bay, Tom’s Creek, Blonde Bay and Cameron Point, preferred baits being worm, soft shell, peeled prawn and spider crab.
Marlo
Lake Corringle, Bream Point, The Junction and The Snowy River have bream biting on local prawn, soft shell and plastics. Incoming tide for salmon and tailor chasing gold and silver lures. Surf beaches also have salmon and tailor.
Bemm River
The lake is the best spot for bream, with local prawn. The channel for salmon taking lures. Surf beach has tailor and salmon.
Tamboon Inlet
The river has nice sized bream, biting on cut crab and prawn. There are plenty of tailor about using metal lures.
Mallacoota
Bream and flathead are moving upstream into the rivers, so give Gipsy Point, The Junction and The Bull Ring a go with local prawn.
Omeo High Country
Cobungra, Gibbo and Mitta Mitta rivers are producing nice sized trout chasing drifting baits, fly patents, wobblers and gold and silver spinners. Also try red, blue or black Celta Spinners.
