East Gippsland acknowledges the Gunaikurnai, Monero and the Bidawel people as the Traditional Custodians of the land that encompasses East Gippsland Shire. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in East Gippsland, their Elders past and present.

Lake Victoria

Heading south of Paynesville and Raymond Island, Lake Victoria leads you to some very impressive (not so secret) boating hotspots. Ocean Grange and Bunga Arm become thriving hubs in the summer months with waterskiing, jet skiing, surfing, camping and good-timing. While the lake also connects you to Newlands Arm, Duck Arm and Picnic Arm along the Banksia Peninsula. All of which offer serene boating conditions and safe spots to set down anchor.
