Lakes Entrance
Fishing is a bit quiet at the moment, Eastern beach and Lakes Bunga are landing gummy shark. Try the Highway bridge, along the Rock Wall and up to Kalimna Jetty for a mixed bag. Offshore at 6 Mile Reef for snapper up to 8kg and closer into the beach for gummies.
Lake Tyers
Bream can be found around the Glasshouse, flathead are in the main lake, Blackfellows Arm and Toorloo Arm biting on soft plastics.
Mitchell River
Mitchell River and Eagle Bay may be affected by the river flow following the recent rains and is a good spot to chase luderick and bream. Also give Lake King a go.
Tambo River
Best spots for fishing is from Marshalls Flat down to The Snags, Tambo Light and Tambo Bay, even give Butchers Creek a look.
Nicholson
From the 2 nd Fence, down to Thumb Point and into Jones Bay for bream chasing drifting prawn, either with a float or on its own. Perch, luderick and flathead are also about.
Metung
With the recent weather conditions the best spots for finding bream are around the Boole Poole, Nungurner Jetty, Box’s Creek, Chinamans Creek and the boardwalk areas using prawn.
Paynesville
Bream can be found around the town jetties, Ocean Grange and around the islands with prawn and soft plastics. Surf beach for salmon and tailor.
Holland's Landing
Whiting are starting to become active in the system, Surf beaches are producing nice sized tailor and salmon on pilchards and poppers. Gummies are also about.
Marlo
River levels are slowly dropping back to normal, try around the Slips, town jetties, Frenchs Narrows and the islands for bream. The channel on the incoming tide for salmon and tailor chasing lures. Surf beaches for tailor and salmon with pilchards and poppers.
Bemm River
The entrance is still open, try the lake and channel for bream. Surf beaches for tailor and salmon.
Tamboon Inlet
Bream can be found around the Football Ground, best results using prawn and cut crab, for flathead give Peters Rock a go. The entrance is open.
Mallacoota
Town jetties, top and bottom lakes and Captains Point for trevally, tailor, flathead, silver trevally and luderick, surf beaches have salmon and tailor. Offshore for a mixed bag.
Omeo High Country
The river levels are slowly coming back to normal with fishing improving, for best results use drifting worm, hard bodied lures and dropper fly patterns.
