Lakes Entrance 

Salmon and tailor are active in Cunninghame Arm, along the rock wall to Kalimna Jetty and on the surf beaches biting on pilchards, poppers and metal lures. Luderick are also about. Whiting can be found around the Islands and heading up towards Metung. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for pinkies, morwong, flathead and gummies closer to the beach.

Lake Tyers

The main lake, Blackfellows Arm and Reedy Track for bream around the 38 - 42cm mark. Surf beaches are landing salmon and tailor using metal lures, poppers, and pilchards.

Mitchell River

For perch try the Highway and WyYung bridges with hard body lures. Bream are around the river mouth and into Eagle Point Bay on soft shell, cut crab, spider crab and soft plastics.

Tambo River

Give the Blue Hole, Burns Flat, Bennett’s Brook, Clues Bluff, Marshalls Flat, and Salt Creek a go for bream chasing soft plastics, soft shell, cut crab and spider crab. The Twin Rivers Fishing competition is coming up on 15th -16th July.

Nicholson

Try the Swimming Hole, Pear Tree, the two bridges and The Reed’s a look for bream, also give the Car Bodies, Strait Six and The Junction a go, best results with spider crab, soft shell, cut crab, prawn and soft plastics.

Metung

Whiting and salmon are around the Islands, the Barrier and Kalimna Jetty biting on baits and lures. Also give Chinamans Creek and Box’s Creek a go.

Paynesville

Yellow Fin bream, Black bream and luderick are about taking weed.

Holland's Landing

Seacombe Landing, Blonde Bay and up to Storm Point has bream, mullet, tailor, luderick, and carp.

Marlo

At the junction of the two rivers for bream on sand worm, salmon and tailor are chasing metal lures on the incoming tide. Surf beaches have tailor and salmon.

Bemm River

Bream can be found in the lake and river using hard body lures, there are also plenty of salmon about also chasing hard body lures.

Tamboon Inlet

The lake for bream on crab and prawn, trevally are still active biting on pilchards, some salmon can be found in the channel and around Peters Rock.

Mallacoota

Try the Top Lake for bream, using pilchards and poppers. Surf beaches for salmon, offshore is bringing in a mixed bag.

Omeo High Country
