Lakes Entrance
Salmon have returned and are active on surf beaches. Baits being blue bait and pilchards and poppers and give metal lures a try offshore. Six Mile Reef for morwong pinkies, flat head, gummies are in closer to the beach.
Lake Tyers
Bream are active around Devils Hole, also try Happy Valley, Toorloo Arm and Blackfellows Arm. Also try around The Islands. Try up at Black Snake Bight on usual baits.
Mitchell River
For bream, The Grassy Banks, Two Bells and all the way to the mouth of the river. Best results being soft shell, cut crab and spider crab also try soft plastics.
Tambo River
The cliffs, Blue Hole and Power Lines for bream on soft shell, cut crab and spider crab. Also try Punt House and the river mouth as well.
Nicholson
Tailor and bream have been active at the mouth of the river, best results using cut crab, prawn and plastics. Also try between the Two Bridges on drifting prawn.
Metung
Try town jetties for bream also try Bowran Point, Baxter Island and Nungurner Jetty. Have a look at the river mouth of the Tambo.
Paynesville
Surf beach for salmon on pilchard and poppers. Try metal lures. Try Carstairs Bank and Bunga Arm for bream and mullet on worm unweighted and give the boat ramps a go as well.
Holland's Landing
Try the Rock Groynes along the Southern shore of Lake Victoria for bream, mullet and tailor on usual baits. Try the Strait and Tom’s Creek.
Marlo
There are bream and perch around the second island and Bream Point in the channel and lake for salmon and tailor on usual baits. Surf beach for salmon and tailor. Offshore for pinkies, gummies and flat head.
Bemm River
Bream in the lake and the river taking hard body lures, soft plastics in the channel for salmon taking metal lures.
Tamboon Inlet
River for bream on cut crab and prawn. Peters Rock for trevally on pilchard. Western bay for bream with best results on prawn
Mallacoota
Top lake is producing good size flat head best results are on soft plastics, also try blue bait and pilchard. Try the surf beaches for salmon.
Omeo High Country
Trout season has closed.
