Lakes Entrance
North Arm and Cunninghame Arm are landing a mixed bag, Bullock Island, heading up towards Kalimna Jetty for the odd whiting. Town jetties have snapper, trevally and the odd kingfish. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor, offshore at Six Mile Reef has snapper, up to 7kg. The Pipeline has morwong and gummy, closer to the beach.
Lake Tyers
The main lake is sitting around 23°. Flathead can be found in the shallow banks, the Tavern car park and the main lake. For nice sized bream try the main lake and around the Glasshouse.
Mitchell River
Best spots for bream are from the Grassy Banks onto The Cut, Two Bells and the river mouth. Also give the Silt Jetties and Eagle Point Bay a go with soft shell, cut crab, prawn and soft plastics.
Tambo River
Bream are biting from Burns Flat, Punthouse Point to Marshalls Flat and out to the river mouth, The Snags and Salt Creek, biting on prawn, pipis, soft shell and plastics.
Nicholson
For bream, flathead and the odd mullet try from the Two Bridges, heading towards The Swimming Hole and into Jones Bay, best results with a float, drifting worm and local prawn. There is some weed about.
Metung
Tailor have been active around the boardwalk, chasing metal lures. Town jetties for a mixed bag, preferred baits being local prawn and soft plastics.
Paynesville
Some perch, luderick, salmon and tailor are active in the channel taking soft plastics.
Holland's Landing
Try The Straits for bream and flathead chasing prawn, plastics and pilchards. Surf beaches have tailor, salmon and the odd gummy.
Marlo
Bream and luderick can be found in the lake, The Junction, around the town jetties, Motts Beach and Frenchs Narrows. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor biting on pilchards and metal lures.
Bemm River
The entrance is open, salmon are in the channel taking lures and soft plastics, the lake for bream and flathead on pilchards and local prawn.
Tamboon Inlet
In the river for bream, chasing prawn and cut crab, both flathead and bream can be found around the Football Ground. Surf beaches have tailor and salmon, biting on pilchards and poppers.
Mallacoota
For bream and flathead try the Genoa River, The South West Arm, The Big Bight, Snapper Point and Harrisons Channel. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor, offshore for a mixed bag.
Omeo High Country
All the rivers are producing nice sized fish chasing fly fishing, dropper method, with a Caddis Fly Pattern, small lures, soft plastics and Nymph spinners.
