Lakes Entrance
The North Arm on the incoming tide for garfish and whiting, salmon and tailor are in Cunninghame Arm as well as off the Ninety Mile Beach. Offshore has a mixed bag.
Lake Tyers
The entrance is still closed. Bream and garfish are active around the Glasshouse, prawns are also in the lake. Tailor and salmon are in the system and over the beach chasing bait and lures.
Mitchell River
For bream try the back water, WyYung Lind Bridge, Shadoof Lodge, Two Bells all the way to the river mouth and Thumb Point, using worm, crab and plastics. The Old Butter Factory has garfish.
Tambo River
From the Powerlines onto the Poplars, Clues Bluff and down to The Snags for bream, biting on soft plastics, prawn, worm and soft shell. Also give the river mouth and Salt Creek a go.
Nicholson
Between the Two Bridges onto the Swimming Hole and down into Jones Bay using lures, soft plastics, local prawn and soft shell.
Metung
The town jetties, Shaving Point, Chinamans Creek and Nungurner Jetty have whiting, the odd garfish and tailor using lures.
Paynesville
Lake Victoria and Lake King has tailor chasing metal lures. Around the town jetties for bream biting on local prawn and plastics.
Holland's Landing
The Straits into Medusa Point and Blonde Bay are the best spots for bream and flathead, best baits being plastics, local prawn and worm.
Marlo
The water colour is still a bit murky, so try Frenches Narrows for bream, luderick, salmon and tailor on the incoming tide with metal lures. Surf beaches for tailor and salmon.
Bemm River
Bream and flathead are active in the lake, preferred baits are soft plastics and metal lures. Surf beach has salmon and tailor biting on pilchards, poppers and metal lures.
Tamboon Inlet
Bream are in the river, taking local prawn and shrimp. Peters Rock for trevally on pilchards, the Football Ground has pinkies and over at the surf beach for tailor and salmon.
Mallacoota
Bottom lake and Harrisons Channel have salmon and tailor, best result using poppers, pilchards and metal lures. Offshore has a mixed bag.
Omeo High Country
The river systems still may be a bit murky with the recent rains so try using metal lures, earthworm and Nymphs.
