Lakes Entrance
The Cunninghame Arm is producing good pinkie, snapper and whiting around the footbridge and up to the Floating Dragon. Eastern Beach has good salmon, using pilchards and poppers. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for snapper, leather jacket, nanigi and morwong. Water temp is sitting at around 16 degrees.
Lake Tyers
Best spots for bream are at Toorloo Arm, taking prawn, also give the channel markers, Black Snake Bite and heading up the Nowa Nowa Arm a try.
Mitchell River
Try the back waters for bream, also The Bluff, Eagle Point and heading down to the river mouth, best baits being, prawn, vibes and soft plastics.
Tambo River
The Powerlines and Whelan’s are good for bream, using prawn and spider crab. The Three Gums, The Snag’s and down to the river mouth, for bream – afternoons are best.
Nicholson
Between the two bridges and down to the Swimming Hole and the river mouth are best for bream, preferred baits are prawn and soft plastics.
Metung
Around Baxter Point, Rowley Point then down to the Barrier Landing for whiting, on pipis, mussels and worms.
Paynesville
Give Bunga Arm and the back lake a try for tailor, on metal lures, for bream give Newlands and Duck Arms a go.
Holland’s Landing
Seacombe Landing, Wood Pile and Hollands Landing are best for bream and flathead using prawn and pilchards, also try Tom’s Creek.
Marlo
Bream are active taking prawn, crab and worm. Salmon and tailor on the incoming tide. Offshore for gummies and flathead.
Bemm River
Surf competition produced plenty of salmon being caught with metal lures. Bream are cruising the channel with the best bait being prawn.
Tamboon Inlet
Furnell Landing and the river mouth for bream using prawn, also try the lake for bream, salmon and tailor preferred baits, pilchards and metal lures.
Mallacoota
Top and bottom lakes for bream and flathead, offshore is producing a mixed bag.
Omeo High Country
Plenty of rainbow trout are to be had, general fishing is productive, water level are good.
