Lakes Entrance
Cunninghame Arm for flatties along the shallow banks using soft plastics. There are also the odd pinkies about. Surf beaches are best for salmon and tailor. Trevally are taking metal lures, pilchards and poppers. Six Mile Reef is producing pinkies and snapper.
Lake Tyers
Water temp is up around 17° to 18° and there are bream in the lake with a lot of small bream biting, there are also good bream around the 38cm mark too. Blackfellows Arm, Mill Point and Shallow Banks are worth a look with best results on plastics and sand worm.
Mitchell River
Bream are active around Shadoof Lodge and heading up to the backwater. Best baits being soft shell, cut crab, prawn and soft plastics.
Tambo River
From the river mouth, Clues Bluff, The Powerlines and all the way to the Blue Hole, The Cliffs and the Log Hole as well for bream. Use soft shell, cut crab, prawn and plastics as bait.
Nicholson
The river mouth, the Swimming Hole and between the two bridges and all the way up to the Strait Six are best for bream with best results on soft shell, prawn, cut crab and plastics.
Metung
Chinamans Creek and Boxes Creek are worth a look for bream. Best baits being soft shell prawn, cut crab and soft plastics. Give the town jetties a go as well for bream.
Paynesville
Try the channels, town jetties and the river mouth of the Tambo River for bream. Surf beaches like Ocean Grange for salmon, tailor on pilchards and poppers.
Holland's Landing
Some good news! Water temp is rising slowly and grassy banks are growing well. When water temp reaches 18° the whiting returns and the fun will return too. Try the Straits for bream on usual baits being soft shell, prawn and plastics.
Marlo
Offshore for gummies, surf beaches for salmon and tailor on pilchards and poppers. Around The Slips for mullet. Bream are active at Lake Corringle on soft shell, prawn, cut crab and soft plastics.
Bemm River
Entrance is closed. Bream are in the river taking usual baits. Salmon are in the Channel chasing metal lures. Surf beach for salmon and tailor on usual baits.
Tamboon Inlet
The Entrance is open. The river is best for bream also the Football Ground is producing good bream with best results using prawn and shrimp.
Mallacoota
The Top Lake for flathead with best results using prawn and plastics. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor on usual baits. Try The Narrows, King Fish Point, Goat Island and Harrisons Channel on usual baits for flathead and bream.
Omeo High Country
Lots of good spots for trout including Angler’s Rest, The Mitta Mitta, Cobungra, Gibbo and Big River. Give the Omeo Lake and Lake Dartmouth a shot too, on usual baits like lures, spinners, wobblers and worm. Fly patents are worth a try too.
