Lakes Entrance
Footbridge for trevally, Bullock Island for gummie shark. Grass whiting are heading up towards Metung. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor, offshore at Six Mile Reef is landing a mixed bag, gummies are in closer to the beach.
Lake Tyers
The shallow banks has flathead using soft plastics, perch can be found around the structures and snags. Best spots for bream are around the islands biting on soft plastics, prawn, worm and soft shell.
Mitchell River
From the Highway bridge heading down towards the Grassy Banks and into the river mouth and Eagle Point Bay for bream, best results using soft shell, plastics, cut crab and prawn.
Tambo River
Best spots for bream at the moment are The Snags, Howletts Flat, the Powerlines, Blue Hole and The Cliffs on prawn, soft plastics, shrimp and worm.
Nicholson
At the Two Bridges try spinning with lures casting towards the bridge pylons, retrieving the lure slowly. Also give The Cliffs and Swimming Hole a go with drifting prawn.
Metung
Grass whiting can be found around Nungurner, Bancroft Bay and Chinamans Creek chasing pipis and mussels. Town jetties for bream.
Paynesville
Whiting are active around the back side of Raymond Island, town jetties for bream, Newlands Arm for flathead using prawn and plastics.
Holland's Landing
Lake Wellington, McLennan Strait, Seacombe Landing, the Wood Pile, Holland’s Landing and into Medusa Point for bream, flathead and mullet, best baits being worm, prawn, plastics and Mr Twister rubber tail jigs.
Marlo
Luderick are about, bream are active around the island try soft plastics, prawn and worm. Salmon and tailor on the incoming tide chasing metal lures, surf beaches have tailor and salmon and some gummy shark.
Bemm River
The entrance is closed, bream, tailor and flathead are in the channel, preferred bait being local prawn, surf beach for salmon and tailor using metal lures.
Tamboon Inlet
In the river for bream on shrimp and cut crab, flathead are taking soft plastics. The entrance is open, in the lake for tailor and salmon biting on lures.
Mallacoota
Top and bottom lakes for bream and flathead, best results with plastics, worm and prawn. Surf beaches have salmon and tailor, offshore for a mixed bag.
Omeo High Country
All the rivers are producing nice sized fish, chasing fly patterns, spinners and wobblers and drifting earth worm.
