Lakes Entrance
For a mixed bag, try Kalimna Jetty, Bullock Island, The Footbridge and around the town jetties. Surf beaches are landing salmon and tailor.
Lake Tyers
A 73cm mulloway was caught in deep water on a vibe lure. Trevally are in the main lake and up into Nowa Nowa Arm, taking local prawn and plastics. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor.
Mitchell River
River mouth and Eagle Point Bay for bream on the usual baits, Tailor are biting on metal lures.
Tambo River
For bream try The Three Gum’s, The Snag’s and the river mouth with worm, drifting prawn and soft shell.
Nicholson
Flathead around the 50cm mark are around The Swimming Hole, The Railway bridge and river mouth, best results using hard body lures.
Metung
The hotel jetty for bream, also try Shaving Point and Lake King on soft plastics and prawn. Tailor are about taking metal lures.
Paynesville
Nice tailor are to be had using metal lures, town jetties for bream biting on prawn. Reedy Island and Flannigan’s Island for flathead mainly in the shallows.
Holland's Landing
Tom’s Creek, The Snag’s, Cameron’s Point and Blonde Bay for bream on soft plastics.
Marlo
Even with the rough weather Marlo is still producing good fish with bream and flathead found in the shallower areas. Surf for salmon and tailor, offshore has had big swells.
Bemm River
The entrance is open, bream are in the lake and channel also tailor and flathead biting on blades, soft plastics and prawn.
Tamboon Inlet
Good sized bream are in the river, preferred baits being soft plastics and shrimp. The entrance is still closed, water levels are high and could break through at any time.
Mallacoota
Top and bottom lakes are the best spots for bream and flathead, also give Harrison’s Channel, The Narrows and Snapper Point a go. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor
Omeo High Country
All the river systems have good stocks of trout to be had mainly chasing fly patents, spinner’s and wobblers.
