Take A Pause - TAC
Take a Pause with TAC
Begin your Holiday safely
Heading off on an Easter road trip? Travelling solo, with friends, or taking the whole family on a holiday adventure, make your journey safer (and more fun!) by stopping at the Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale Visitor Centres as part of TAC’s Take a Pause initiative.
This Easter, TAC (Transport Accident Commission) is encouraging all road users to take regular breaks on long drives to help prevent fatigue-related crashes. What better excuse to pause than a visit with the Easter Bunny?
What’s On?
Here’s what you can look forward to when you stop:
Meet the Easter Bunny
Swing by on Easter Saturday and get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny! A fun, festive memory for the kids, and the young at heart.
Craft Station Fun
Throughout the school holidays, kids can get creative with our Easter-themed craft station. It’s a great way for little ones to burn off some energy before getting back in the car.
Stickers, Giveaways & Local Treasures
Pick up free Easter stickers and giveaways for the kids while you browse a lovely range of locally made products and gift hampers, perfect for treating yourself or finding something special to take home.
Why Take a Pause?
Road trips are a great Aussie tradition, especially over the Easter break. But fatigue is one of the biggest risks for drivers on long journeys. Even a momentary lapse in concentration can lead to tragedy. That’s why the TAC is reminding all drivers to plan their trips with regular rest stops.
Stopping at premium visitor centres like Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale isn’t just about grabbing a coffee or stretching your legs. It’s about giving your body and mind a chance to reset, so you can stay alert and arrive at your destination safely.
