Featuring portraits by Dawn Stubbs and wildlife sculpture by Chris Stubbs. Both Dawn and Chris are award-winning artists and well-known members of Gippsland’s art community.
Dawn has been painting all her life. In 2012, she won Western Australia's most prestigious portrait prize, the Black Swan Portrait Prize, taking out the $40,000 Lester Group Prize the highest prize in the competition, for a moving portrait of her father-in-law.
Chris is a wildlife sculptor who creates environmental artworks that make statements on the plight of wildlife around the world. A winner of the prestigious Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize for a controversial sculpture of an orangutan.
This exhibition will feature some of Dawn and Chris’s most significant artworks.
