Unique flora and bird life
The vegetation is dominated by Lily Pilly and forms a unique forest in combination with climbers, vines and ferns. As you enter the rainforest, you’ll notice a marked drop in the temperature, particularly on a hot day. This moist microclimate of the rainforest helps prevent wildfires and conserves the diversity of unique plant species.
The unique bird list includes: the Rose Robin, the Lewin’s and Crescent Honeyeater, Australian King Parrot, Gang-gang Cockatoo, Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike and White-throated Treecreeper and many others.
