Description
Culinaire Cooking School first opened its doors in 2003 with Chef Christiane Philip at the helm together with her husband John.
After many years of honing her skill both in Europe and Australia. Christiane recognised a need for a cooking school with a hands on approach that taught students the fundamentals of cookery, rather than attending demonstration classes. A herb and kitchen garden was then planted out to supply the school with fresh produce for the classes and workshops. and offers a personal approach with only 8 students per class or workshop ensures maximum learning. The cooking school has grown to the well known inspirational and exiting experience it is today... a first class establishment now also housing a gift shop and conducting gourmet food tours.
The Philip's farm is nestled beside the river in Swan Reach and is open for you to take a wander – its free and with so many different herbs plants, that perhaps might inspire you to plant your own garden or maybe just a big pot of fresh herbs. The couple enjoy the seasonal produce their garden supplies and are happy to share their knowledge with you.
At the Culinaire Gift Shop there is an array of great gifts and home wares from Australian, Swedish, French, Belgium, and Italian designers. Homemade delicious preserves stack the shelves and are grown right onsite in their garden and hand made in the kitchen, without preservatives.
Gift vouchers are also available for classes and to be used in the gift shop. If you are driving through Swan Reach Culinaire Cooking School and farmgate is a must visit.
Farmgate Sales
Stop in and meet with Christiane and John anytime from 10am - 4.30pm Monday - Sunday, the couple live onsite and welcome visitors to stop by.
Farmers Market
Present at many of the Farmers Markets across the region, should you be located in one of the nearby towns be sure to head to the monthly farmers markets that take place.
