Lakes Entrance
Cunninghame Arm for snapper, chasing metal lures on the incoming and outgoing tides, also give Bullock Island and Kalimna Jetty heading up towards Metung a go. Surf beaches have salmon and tailor taking pilchards and poppers. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for flathead, pinkies, snapper and gummies closer to the beach.
Lake Tyers
Around the shallow banks and up to the island for bream, flathead are actively taking soft plastics around the Snags. Perch are also active.
Mitchell River
From the Butter Factory to Shadoof Lodge, The Bluff, Two Bells towards the river mouth, Foster Point and down to Eagle Point Bay for bream best results with soft shell, cut crab, and plastics.
Tambo River
The Powerlines, Howletts Flat, the Three Gums down to The Snags and Tambo Light with drifting prawn, soft plastics, cut crab, shrimp and worm. Also try Salt Creek.
Nicholson
Best spots for bream are from the boat ramp heading down to the Swimming Hole and into Jones Bay, preferred baits being drifting prawn, Lazer Raiders and Wonder Wobblers.
Metung
Incoming and outgoing tides for snapper and heading towards the Nungurner Jetty area, using metal lures.
Paynesville
Montague Point at the western tip may be accessible via an unmade road on the island, it offers good access to relatively deep waters off McMillan Strait and Lady Bay, which have bream and flathead.
Holland's Landing
For bream, try Lake Wellington, into McLennan Strait, Secombe Landing, the Wood Pile, Hollands Landing, Bull Bay and Blonde Bay, also try Storm Point, the White Cliffs and down into Pelican Bay.
Marlo
Lake Corringle for bream with sandworm, for flathead and perch. Try Motts Beach and Frenchs Narrows. Tailor and salmon on the incoming tide chasing metal lures, surf beaches are landing salmon and tailor.
Bemm River
Bream are active in the river and lake biting on sandworm and local prawn. Surf beaches for tailor and salmon.
Tamboon Inlet
The river is the best spot for bream, using cut crab, worm and prawn, Tailor are also active taking metal lures. Surf beaches for salmon and tailor.
Mallacoota
Top and bottom lakes are producing good bream, the Genoa River has decent sized bream, flathead and Estuary perch. Surf beaches for tailor and salmon. Harrisons Channel is also worth a look.
Omeo High Country
The rivers are still high but running clear, give weighted flies a go with Kossi Duns and soft plastics, give lures a try in the deeper waters.
